
Carrie is a compassionate and patient therapist who has experience with individuals who have struggled in life after encountering difficulties that have caused stress, trauma and grief. She has specialized training in the issues and concerns that veterans face and is passionate about helping them overcome trauma and moral injury through evidence-based therapies to help clients build resilience and learn new coping strategies to enhance their quality of life. Carrie uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is based on the science of the brain, to resolve trauma reactions and negative thought processes. She also has special interest in helping veterans and their families who struggle with PTSD and the effects of PTSD on marriage and family systems.
Carrie has experience working with individuals who struggle with addictions and families who have loved ones with an addiction,and will come alongside them, providing support and guidance as difficulties are explored and worked through. She enjoys working with couples who are struggling with relationship issues, wish to strengthen their relationship, or are planning on getting married and desire premarital counseling using solution-focused, relational approaches to relationship issues.
