Diane understands how past hurts and traumatic experiences impact our daily lives, which can result in depression, anxiety, trust issues, troubled or dissatisfying relationships, poor work or school performance, and negative self-esteem. Her passion lies with helping her clients resolve past or present trauma. Walking alongside, Diane facilitates opportunities that provide a deeper awareness and insight into their lives, which can be a pathway of hope and positive change. One of her strengths is in working effectively not only with adults, but with children and teenagers.
Diane works with abuse victims and their families, treating issues related to sexual/ physical/emotional abuse, domestic violence, attachment injury, and neglect. She also works extensively with individuals on the autism spectrum. She utilizes EMDR, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts and group therapy in addition to talk therapy, and is particularly sensitive to the needs of foster and adoptive parents, and those with children affected by developmental disabilities.
Diane brings 30 years of experience as an educator, music director, and educational advocate into her work as a therapist, and is known for her ability to collaborate with other community professionals in the area to help meet the needs of her clients. As a TBRI Educator she provides intensive educational workshops for caretakers and those involved in the lives of her clients. Diane is a Florida Qualified Supervisor and an Approved EMDR Consultant. She enjoys supervising, consulting and mentoring therapists in her area of expertise.
