Kimball Counseling Therapists

Bethanni LANCASTER

Master's Level Student Intern

Whether you are diving into self-exploration and healing, walking through overwhelming and painful times, or just feeling lost, I believe that counseling is key to finding the mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wholeness we are often in search of. I believe that our present pains are often rooted in patterns learned, messages perceived, and wounds received from childhood. Because our core wounds often come from intimate or close relationships, it can feel hard and scary to ask for someone to come alongside as you navigate your healing journey, and I am so proud of you for stepping in courage and asking for help and guidance.

While creating a safe and trusting relationship is my first priority, I value bringing an element of creativity and fun into our sessions. I believe that our family of origin is one of the largest influences for how we experience and navigate the world. Through a trauma informed lens, I incorporate expressive arts, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, sand tray, and, with children and adolescents, play therapy into our time together. When working with families I like to incorporate Filial Therapy, Child-Parent Relational Therapy, and Trust-Based Relational Interventions to involve and support parents/caregivers through your child’s therapy. My heart as a therapist is to work with the entire family unit, whether you are starting your journey as expectant parents, have teenage children, or are an adult feeling stuck and needing help.

I feel so honored that you have considered me to come alongside you and your family in your journey towards health and wholeness.
